Our Shipping Procedures

At Doll Repair Parts, we try our best to ship every order within a 24 hour business period. On odd occurances, an item may become out of stock before the website posts it as such, and a delay may become necessary in shipping. When this occurs we will contact you.

We ship the majority of our orders through the Canadian Postal Service. We have found them to be the most affordable for shipping to the USA and Internationally, and offer us both ground and air shipping.

We pack all of our orders right here in our own studio, keeping a tight reign on quality control. Our orders are shipped insured so there is no risk to our buyers. Delivery standards stated below are approximate, and do not include processing time, customs delays etc. (see diagram below) and for more details please feel free to search the Canadian Postal Service Website, for indepth information. SHIPPING FAQ

• Most orders leave our warehouse within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) from our Arthur, Ontario, Canada Studios. The exception to this would be doll house kits to be delivered within Ontario. As most of our kits are shipped directly from the factories, shipping time for houses only will take longer than the Ontario delivery standard. Dolls, and miniatures are shipped from our Arthur Studio.
• You may choose either ground or air shipping when you check out of our shopping cart. Prices will be shown at that time, depending on your delivery destination and shipping mode.
• Any duties or taxes that may become applicable within your own country are your responsibility and not covered under our shipping costs.
• If our database estimates your shipping higher than is necessary, we only charge the actual shipping rate to you, but it will never be higher without first contacting you.
• Shipping standard for Shipping Surface to the USA is 6-14 business days.
• Shipping standard for Air Shipping (express) to the USA is 4-10 business days.
• Shipping standard for International Air orders (express) is approx. one week.
• Shipping standard for International Surface orders is approx. 3-12 weeks (at least 12 weeks to Australia and New Zealand).
• Shipping standard for shipping within Canada is approx 3-9 business days.
• Shipping standard for shipping within Ontario is approx. 1-2 days.
• We notify you by email when your items have been shipped

PLEASE NOTE: The above delivery standards are set down by Canada Post. We have chosen Canada Post as our primary shipping source, as the costs are much more reasonable than any other method. Small packet rate when applied does not include tracking. If you wish to have tracking included on your order, please notify us. Extra charges will apply. Delays may take place if your parcel is held up in customs. Be sure to leave ample time for delivery as we are not resonsible for time sensitive deliveries. If you wish to have your items shipped via courier, costs will be considerably higher. Thanks for your understanding.

Expedited Parcel – U.S.A. has a delivery expectation of 6 to 15 business days between major centres in Canada and major centres in the U.S.A. (Some exceptions apply)

Xpresspost – U.S.A. delivers in 3 to 10 business days. Service standards are based on the day of deposit (day 0) plus the number of business days required for delivery and do not include weekends and statutory holidays. Deposits made on weekends and statutory holidays will be counted as originating on the following business day.

Xpresspost – International delivers in 4 to 7 business days.

Service standards are based on the day the order goes to the post office(day 0) plus the number of business days required for your delivery. Weekends and statutory holidays are extra. Orders mailed on weekends and statutory holidays will be counted as originating on the following business day.

Returns must be accompanied by a return authorization number as well as your order number to obtain proper and prompt credit. We will advise you as to the shipping method to use when returning an item. All returns must be clearly marked RETURN and must be sent back to us through the postal system. Items that are received with customs and duty owing will not be accepted and will be returned to you, so please be sure to mark them properly before sending back. We strive to offer you the highest quality products at the best possible prices. Your satisfaction is very, very important to us. However, sometimes mistakes can happen, it might be that you ordered the wrong size of an item, or that something arrived and was not what you had thought it would be. Or maybe the item met with misfortune enroute….whatever the case, we will try our best to make things right!

What will happen if an item arrives broken?

A damaged item, will be replaced free of charge by us, just be sure to let us know immediatley upon receipt of the goods. If the packaging is noticeable damaged, we may want you to take photographs so that we can recoup our losses with the shipping company.

What if there is nothing wrong with my purchase but I am just not pleased with my choice?

We want you to be pleased, and will accept returns (please call or email us first for authorization). We don’t charge a handling or restocking charge, but you will be responsible for all shipping costs.

What will happen if my order gets lost in shipping?

All of our orders are shipped with insurance. There can be a delay in refunding your credit card, while the item is being tracked by the postal service, but you will never loose out.

What if I order something that is time sensitive and it is delivered too late?

Nothing is a sure thing, there can be delays in shipping time, customs delays, and other variables that are beyond our control.Leave yourself ample shipping time to allow for these variables. If an item is not received when you absolutely need it, let us know, and when it does arrive, refuse shipment. By doing this, shipping will only have to be paid once. If you choose to not accept delivery of an item due to a shipping delay, your credit card charges will be reversed upon the item’s safe arrival back to us, less the original shipping costs. Special orders are non returnable, unless they do not meet manufacturers secifications. All returns must be received in original packaging, in perfect condition, accompanied with your return authorization number and order number clearly marked on packaging to receive proper and prompt credit. Returns without these specifications will not be accepted.
